Hemlock Hollow
The Story
Hemlock Hollow is a secluded mountain town tucked between pine ridgelines and creek-fed hollows, somewhere the maps forget. At its heart sits Laurel & Lantern Inn, a Victorian bed-and-breakfast where warm lamplight, rain on tin roofs, and old books set the pace of the day.
Each session on the channel unfolds in a different room of the Inn, or somewhere just outside its doors — the café at first light, the library after the fire has settled, the observatory under a clear cold sky. The Focus Wing keeps the daylight hours; the Sleep Wing keeps the night.
A room you can’t book, and never have to leave
We should say this plainly, because the Inn feels real to us too: Laurel & Lantern Inn is a fictional place. There is no front desk, no vacancy, no key waiting under the lantern. The address — 13 Lantern Lane — appears on no map.
But every room is open, any hour, to anyone. You’ll find them all on YouTube, free, with new sessions arriving weekly. No reservation required. Settle in, stay awhile.
The studio
Laurel & Lantern Inn is a soundscape series by Aether & Root Studio, and part of a small family of quiet projects alongside ResetAway. The music and artwork are original works made for the series.
